The Trust commissioned a feasibility study on the generation of hydroelectricity from the House Mill, through a combination of using both the four original water wheels and also modern external polymer turbines.

Once the project is complete, the House Mill will offer a unique educational experience that combines both 18th and 21st century technologies.

The amount of electricity generated should equate to that used by a small village. The income generated will secure financial sustainability for the Trust.
